Travel Time!

Tomorrow will be a new adventure for me.  I have been working out and eating low carb for 16 weeks now.  I have had my days that were tough and tempting.  I just recently took pictures at an event that served cake and punch and thankfully bottled waters!  I had two small bottles of water and passed on the cake and punch.  I think about my treat day coming up the first of November and I let the urge for something sweet pass.  This month is a longer stretch for a treat as I reach for higher goals.  I’m not saying I don’t have a bite of chocolate here and there or a little nibble of something but I know it’s in my best interest to stray away from a full on piece of cake.  Tomorrow I will travel with my boss out of town for the remainder of the week.  I’m excited since we have never had the one on one time that a road trip brings.  I am mentally preparing myself and planning to spend time in the gym at the hotel while I’m there.  I packed my workout clothes and my trainer even offered to send me a work out plan to follow.  I also have my Zumba buddies who will be checking in on me to see if I exercised.  My biggest challenge will be those stops at the gas station for snacks.  I’ve already thought through some of my options so I won’t blindly walk in and grab a candy bar or a soda like I usually do on a road trip.  It will be different but I know I can do it!

I will be offline for a bit on my blogging.  Just my phone on this trip but hoping to invest in a new laptop soon.  I will report back how my week goes!  I just know I don’t want to ruin all of the hard work I have been putting in these past few months and that in itself is a good motivation to succeed.
